The Shadow of the Ordragul
The Thriss are hideous, near shapeless masses of flesh and bone. Their anatomy often defies logic; a mouth lined with teeth and no throat to go anywhere, a useless arm or more joints than nessicary, and while no two Thriss look alike, common features include tentacles, spikes, teeth or club-like appendages. Wild beasts in thought, they often lack sensory organs that are essential to survival. For this they are hunger-craven for sensory organs, as if to become complete creatures. They have the unique ability to graft body parts onto themselves and use them … for a time. Unable to sustain the body part with the blood and nutrients it needs for long, the appendage will eventually die and rot, becoming useless, and giving the Thriss it’s characteristic fetid odor.
Visually blind, they have a very small sphere of perception, sensing any significant movement within 20 feet of their center.
